4th Street Sweet Red 5L
You know the wine everyone actually drinks, no pretence, no swirling and sniffing? This is it, and it comes in a 5L box so the glass keeps filling itself. It tastes like ripe red berries someone spooned sugar over. Soft, juicy, sweet, barely 8% so you can keep the night going. Pour it lightly chilled for a Friday with the squad, a chilled Sunday, or whenever you want something that just makes people happy. We'll have a box at your door fast, any hour.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Big handful of strawberry and raspberry on the nose, with a little cherry behind it and a faint warm whisper of cinnamon and clove. Sip and it's properly sweet and round, like fresh red-berry juice with a gentle wine lift, no bitterness, no dry grip drying out your mouth. It carries around 71 grams of sugar per litre, so yes, it leans into the sweet. Light on its feet and smooth all the way down. Easy company, not a wine that asks you to think hard.

Where it's from

This is South Africa's go-to, made by Heineken Beverages (the old Distell crew) from grapes grown across the Western Cape. Here's the cool bit: that intense berry sweetness isn't sugar dumped in afterwards. They pick grapes at peak ripeness in February and March, lock in some fresh grape juice before it can ferment, then blend that nectar back into a light, fruity wine. So you're basically tasting ripe grapes the way they came off the vine. It's one of the most-drunk wines in the country for a reason.
