Amarula Cream 1L-30%
Exceptional★★★★★
Pour this over ice and the whole vibe softens. Amarula is silky, caramel-sweet and a touch wild, the kind of glass you nurse slowly after dinner while the conversation runs long. Think of it as Africa's answer to a cream liqueur, made from a real fruit you've probably never tasted on its own. One sip and you'll get why people keep a bottle in the freezer. We'll have the 1L to your door, late-night cravings included.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

It smells like warm toffee and vanilla custard, with a little something fruity hiding underneath. On the tongue it's thick and velvety, all caramel, fresh cream and a whisper of dark chocolate and coffee, then that exotic marula fruit pops up at the end like a soft, sun-ripe mango note you can't quite place. Sweet but not sticky, smooth the whole way down. Easy to love, hard to put down.

Where it's from

Amarula comes from South Africa, made from the marula fruit that grows wild across the sub-equatorial bush, much of it around Phalaborwa near Kruger. The fruit is de-stoned, crushed and fermented into a marula wine, double-distilled, then aged two years in French oak before it's blended with cream. The fruit is famous for one more reason: elephants love it, which is why a tusker has been on the bottle for decades. Fun to drop at the table, even better to drink.
