What makes Astral truly unique is its dedication to ancient artisanal methods. The piñas (agave hearts) are slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens before being crushed using a traditional volcanic stone wheel known as a tahona. Unlike modern mass-production methods, Astral ferments its liquid together with the crushed agave fibers (bagazo). This time-honoured technique ensures that every drop captures the true, robust, and sweet essence of the agave plant.

Once distilled, Astral Reposado is aged for five months in single-use American Oak bourbon barrels. Since the minimum aging requirement for reposado tequilas is only two months, Astral’s extended maturation allows it to develop a beautiful golden hue and an incredibly smooth, complex character.
