Booch's journey began in 2016 when co-founder Eoin Flinn returned to Nairobi from a visit to his brother in Uganda, carrying a live SCOBY culture in his luggage. What started as small experimental batches in a home kitchen has grown into Nairobi’s premier craft kombucha brewery.

Operating on a strong "Buy Kenya, Build Kenya" philosophy, Booch sources 100% of its base teas, unrefined sugars, and fresh botanical fruits from local smallholder Kenyan farmers. A little-known fact about this brew is the use of baobab fruit powder—harvested from Africa's iconic "Tree of Life," it provides three times the vitamin C of an orange alongside natural soluble fibre that feeds beneficial gut flora.
