Bruce Jack Sauvignon Blanc 75cl
Pour this cold and you get a hit of passion fruit, lime, and fresh-cut green apple that wakes your whole mouth up. It's dry, it's zingy, and it goes down dangerously easy on a hot evening. Grab it when you want something bright and uncomplicated, no overthinking, just a properly good white that delivers in minutes. Bonus: it's the namesake bottle of one of South Africa's most respected winemakers.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

The nose is all sunshine: passion fruit, pineapple, and a squeeze of citrus jumping out the glass. First sip and the acidity snaps everything into focus, juicy green apple and white peach riding on top, with a little flinty, lemongrass thing underneath that keeps it interesting. Bone dry, zesty, and clean as you like through the finish. Nothing sweet, nothing heavy, just fruit and freshness pulling in the same direction.

Where it's from

Bruce Jack is the man, not just the label. He's a Cape Town-raised winemaker with an English literature degree, years spent making wine across Australia, New Zealand and the US, and a reputation as one of South Africa's brightest. He launched this namesake brand in 2018 and it's grown fast. The grapes come from the cool Cape South Coast and the riper Breedekloof, which is why you get both the snappy green-apple edge and the juicy tropical side. Nice touch: a slice of every sale goes to a beach cleanup project and a music-education trust back home.
