This comes out of Marlborough at the top of New Zealand's South Island, the region that more or less rewrote what Sauvignon Blanc could taste like. It's made by Yealands, with the fruit leaning on the Awatere Valley, a cooler, windier, higher pocket of Marlborough that pushes extra punch and herby intensity into the grapes. The juice ferments slow and cool in stainless steel over about four weeks, no oak anywhere, which is exactly why it lands so pure and fruit-forward in the glass.
