Fleur de Cros Bordeaux white 75cl
Pour this cold and the first thing you get is white flowers and citrus drifting up. Then the sip lands: lively, fruity, a little green-apple snap, and a finish that hangs around longer than you'd expect from a wine this friendly. It's a proper dry white Bordeaux, no sweetness, just freshness and a clean edge. Crack it open when there's grilled fish on the go or you just want something bright in the glass tonight. We'll have it at your door fast, any hour.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Bright pale yellow in the glass. The nose is all white flowers and fresh citrus, the kind of inviting smell that makes you want to dive in. On the palate it's lively and juicy: think lemon and lime zest, a crisp bite of green apple, maybe a whisper of passion fruit from the Sauvignon Blanc. The Sémillon rounds it out so it never feels thin or sharp, just well-balanced. Bone dry, fresh, and that citrus note lingers on a long finish.

Where it's from

This comes from Château du Cros, a family estate up on the heights of Loupiac looking out over the Garonne valley in Bordeaux. The Boyer family has run it for four generations, and the old castle on the property has a wild backstory going back to Richard the Lionheart. They're best known for sweet wines, but this dry white is their fresh, everyday Bordeaux Blanc, built from Sauvignon Blanc for the perfume and lift and Sémillon for the body underneath.
