-14%Pour this and your glass basically turns into a Nairobi garden at golden hour. It's Hendrick's, but cranked all the way into the flowers: rose and lavender up front, that signature cool cucumber underneath, and a cheeky little hit of raspberry that sneaks in like a dessert you didn't order. Soft, pretty, properly easy to fall for. If you want a G&T that actually smells like something tonight, this is the one to grab.
First sniff is a full floral bouquet. Rosewater and lavender lead, with a sweet whisper of raspberry (Difford's literally clocks it as raspberry ice cream, and they're not wrong). The piney juniper hangs back, polite but present. On the palate the flowers open up, then the classic Hendrick's cucumber and a little coriander pepper roll in to keep it from going soapy or sweet. The finish is long, delicate and grassy, dry enough that you immediately want another sip. Smooth, aromatic, never heavy.
The details
Pairs well with
Where it's from
This is Hendrick's playing in its own garden. Master Distiller Lesley Gracie built Flora Adora at the Hendrick's Gin Palace in Girvan, Scotland, taking the brand's famous rose-and-cucumber base and layering in blooms chosen for the flowers that pollinators love. The fun bit: to launch it, the team actually planted the world's first fragrance garden designed for bees, picking flora to mirror the gin's botanicals. It started life as a limited drop from Hendrick's Cabinet of Curiosities, the line where Lesley gets to experiment.
