Where it's from
This comes out of Still Bay, a small town on South Africa's Western Cape coast, where Lorna Scott and her family started Inverroche as the country's craft-gin pioneers. The whole idea is fynbos: the wild, fragrant plants of the Cape Floral Kingdom, a botanical hotspot found nowhere else on the planet. They handcraft it from around 15 botanicals, distilled in small batches using a vapour-infusion pot still, so the spirit picks up flavour from both fresh and dried plants. The brand has since been picked up by Pernod Ricard, but the fynbos soul is still the whole point.
