Kahlua 1L
Pour a little over ice and you get it instantly: cold black coffee gone soft and sweet, with a warm rummy buzz underneath. This is the bottle that makes an Espresso Martini actually taste like one, the soul of a White Russian, and a sneaky dessert all on its own. It's the original coffee liqueur, the one everyone copies. Grab the full litre and you're set for a long night of cocktails (or just a generous splash over ice cream when the cravings hit).
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

The nose is freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate and a hit of vanilla, with a roasted, almost chestnut edge. First sip is smooth and properly sweet, like sweetened cold brew, then the real depth shows up: bittersweet espresso and dark chocolate trading places, soft buttery vanilla rounding it all off. It finishes long and mocha-rich, never harsh, with the 20% rum keeping it warm rather than boozy.

Where it's from

Kahlúa was born in Veracruz, Mexico, back in 1936, and the name comes from the local Nahuatl for "House of the Acolhua people." It's still built the same way: 100% Arabica coffee beans grown in Veracruz, roasted and blended with sugar-cane rum, vanilla and caramel, then left to rest before bottling. Nearly a century on, it's the best-selling coffee liqueur on the planet, and the bottle every bartender reaches for.

What does Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur 1L taste like?

Sweet, smooth cold-coffee flavour with dark chocolate, vanilla and a warm rum backbone. Think sweetened espresso that finishes long and mocha-rich, never harsh.

What is the ABV of Kahlúa?

It's 20% alcohol by volume, so it's a liqueur, much gentler than a neat spirit.

How do I serve Kahlúa?

Over ice as is, or as the base of an Espresso Martini, White Russian or Black Russian. It's also brilliant poured over vanilla ice cream or into your coffee.

What's actually in it?

Arabica coffee beans grown in Veracruz, Mexico, blended with sugar-cane rum, vanilla and caramel, then rested before bottling.

Where is Kahlúa from?

Mexico. It was first made in Veracruz in 1936 and remains the world's number-one coffee liqueur.

How long does a 1L bottle last once opened?

Ages, thanks to the sugar and alcohol. Keep it cool and out of direct sun and it stays good for a long time, and the litre size means plenty of rounds before you run dry.
