Karibrew 330ml
Pour it cold and you get pale gold, a soft malt-sweet hit, then a clean dry snap that makes you want the next sip immediately. This is real craft lager, not a fizzy filler. Saaz hops give it a little floral, spicy lift and a bitterness that shows up, says hello, and gets out of the way. Late night, nyama choma, or just because it's Friday. You'll be glad you grabbed it.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Nose first: bready pilsner malt with a whiff of something floral and herby, that's the Saaz hops doing their thing. The sip opens a touch sweet and malty, then turns crisp and properly dry by the finish. The bitterness is the star, pronounced but never harsh, the kind that resets your palate and keeps things lively. Clean, lively carbonation. Nothing muddy, nothing heavy. A lager that actually tastes of something.

Where it's from

Karibrew comes from 254 Brewing Co, Kenya's pioneer of unfiltered, unpasteurised small-batch craft beer. The team set up shop on the green slopes of Kikuyu, just outside Nairobi, and opened their doors in 2020, bold timing in the middle of a pandemic. They brought in a master brewer with decades of craft experience and built a deep pantry of specialty malts and hops to play with. Karibrew is one of their most-loved brands, and it earns it.
