This is Kenyan Originals, made by African Originals, who started back in 2016 brewing cider out of a shipping container in Nairobi. The idea was a fruit cider inspired by muratina, the old Kenyan honey-and-fruit brew, but made with real local produce. The passion fruit comes straight from smallholder farmers in the Kenyan highlands, the purple variety that runs juicier and sweeter than the yellow, and the whole thing gets fermented, blended and canned in-house. Local fruit, local hands, no shortcuts.
