La Vieille Ferme Réserve Rosé Sparkling 75cl
Pale pink, tiny bubbles, and a whoosh of wild strawberry the second it hits the glass. This is the bottle you grab when you want fizz that feels fancy but actually goes down easy. It's bright, it's dry, and it makes a random Tuesday feel like something. Pour it cold, clink, and let the evening do the rest.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First sniff gets you fresh red fruit, think raspberry and tiny wild strawberries, with a soft peachy edge and a little white-flower lift. Take a sip and the bubbles come in fine and tickly, never aggressive. There's juicy red berry up front, a squeeze of citrus (the French note pomelo, basically a fancy grapefruit), then it dries right out and leaves your mouth fresh and wanting another go. Brut means properly dry, so don't expect sweet. It's lively, clean, and dangerously moreish.

Where it's from

This is the fizzy cousin in the La Vieille Ferme range, made by the Perrin family, the same crew behind some seriously respected wines down in France's Rhône. The grapes (Grenache, Cinsault and a bit of Pinot Noir) grow on limestone soils, which is the secret to that zippy freshness. They press the red grapes gently for that pale pink colour, then finish it with the 'prise de mousse', the proper traditional method of trapping the bubbles inside. Translation: a real, well-made sparkler that doesn't cost the earth.
