Picture a cold quarter of Kenya Cane Citrus coming out the freezer, that smooth sugarcane spirit lit up with a squeeze of lemon and lime. It goes down easy, no harsh burn, just a bright citrus zing that wakes the whole thing up. Pocket the 250ml for a nyama choma run or a late one with the crew, pour it neat over ice or splash it with soda. Local, affordable, and the kind of bottle you finish without thinking too hard about it.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First thing you get is the citrus, fresh lemon and lime with a little orange behind it, sitting on top of soft, sweetish sugarcane. The spirit itself is clean and smooth, no rough edges, so the lemony lift carries the whole sip. It finishes light and zesty rather than sticky-sweet, which is exactly why it disappears so fast. Easy on its own cold, even easier with a mixer.

Where it's from

This is properly local. Kenya Cane comes from KWAL, Kenya Wine Agencies, the state-founded outfit set up back in 1969 that went on to build the country's first commercial winery. Kenya Cane itself launched in 1976 and has been a Kenyan staple ever since, made by distilling fermented sugarcane into a smooth spirit. The citrus version takes that same cane base and infuses it with bright lemon and lime, all made and bottled right here in Kenya.
