You know the move. Kettle on, mug filled, and you need something to dunk. These are it. Manji's wheatmeal digestives are lightly crisp, properly crumbly, and just sweet enough, with a malty warmth that makes a plain cup of tea feel like a proper sit-down. Late-night fridge raid, mid-afternoon slump, or a cheeseboard you want to look clever doing. We'll have a 200g pack at your door before the water boils.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Bite in and it's that classic digestive crumble, snappy on the first crack then soft and short as it goes. The flavour is wheaty and mild, with a gentle malt sweetness and a quiet pinch of salt that keeps it from ever being sugary. Nothing loud, nothing trying too hard. It's the biscuit equivalent of a comfy jumper, and that's exactly why a pack disappears so fast.

Where it's from

This is Kenyan biscuit royalty. The House of Manji name goes back to Madatally Manji, who started out hawking at Karatina market before opening a Nairobi bakery in the 1940s and setting up his biscuit works in the city's Industrial Area in the 1950s, basically inventing the biscuit habit in Kenya. The brand's been a kitchen-cupboard regular for generations, and it's now made by Manji Food Industries, who picked up the House of Manji name in 2002. Old recipe, still going strong.
