Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Fine, tickly bubbles and a soft pink colour that already looks like a good time. The nose is all wild strawberry and fresh rose, with a little twist of citrus zest behind it. On the palate it's fruity and softly sweet, raspberry and red berries up front, that floral lift in the middle, and a clean, light finish that doesn't cling. Sweet but balanced, never cloying.

Where it's from

This is Martini, the house from Turin in northern Italy that's been doing vermouth and sparkling wine since the 1860s, the same name behind those iconic red-and-black labels. The Rosé leans on aromatic Italian grapes like Moscato, Brachetto and Malvasia grown up north, which is exactly where that perfumed strawberry-and-rose character comes from. Italian fizz, made by people who have been at it a very long time.
