First sniff is all warmth: vanilla, caramelised wood and a coppery whiff of ripe tropical fruit and roasted nuts. The sip is bold and properly rich, burnt caramel and dark brown sugar up front, then molasses, a little maple, and baking spice creeping in (cinnamon, clove, a knock of black pepper).
