Patrón is made high in the Jalisco Highlands of Mexico, at Hacienda Patrón, from 100% Weber Blue Agave grown right there. Here's the cool bit: they make it two ways at once. Half the cooked agave gets crushed under a two-ton volcanic stone wheel called a tahona (old-school, earthy, fruity), the other half runs through a modern roller mill (cleaner, more citrusy). Both get double-distilled in copper pot stills, then blended roughly half and half. It's so hands-on that every bottle is hand-corked and hand-numbered. Patrón reckons around 60 pairs of hands touch each one before it ships.
