Stella Artois 330ml-44%
Exceptional★★★★★
You know exactly what you're getting and that's the whole point. Pour it cold and it's clean, golden, gently floral, with a snap of bitterness and a dry finish that keeps you going back. Easy to love, hard to mess up. Nyama choma night, a long catch-up, or just because it's a Tuesday: this is the safe yes. Say the word and we'll have it at your door, any hour.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First thing you notice is the smell: soft and floral, almost like fresh-cut grass, that's the Saaz hops doing their thing. Then a light, biscuity malt sweetness rolls in, nothing heavy, just enough to round it out. The bitterness is crisp and clean, more a quick zing than a bite, and it dries off fast so your mouth feels rinsed and ready for the next sip. Lively fizz, light body, zero fuss.

Where it's from

Stella comes from Leuven, Belgium, a proper beer town where brewing on this spot goes all the way back to 1366 and the old Den Hoorn brewery. The lager you're drinking was first brewed in 1926 as a Christmas beer, which is where the name comes from: Stella means star, for the season. It caught on, stuck around, and now it's poured in pretty much every corner of the world. Old roots, simple recipe, still just four things in it: malted barley, maize, Saaz hops and water.
