Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla 1L
Picture the cleanest gin and tonic you've ever had, then someone squeezes a whole sun-warmed orange into it. That's this. Tanqueray's sharp, junipery backbone wrapped in bittersweet Seville orange and a whiff of orange blossom, so it drinks bright and zesty but never sweet or syrupy. Crack it open on a Friday, build a fat G&T, and watch it disappear. We'll have it at your door fast, any hour.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First thing you get is orange. Proper zesty Seville orange and a little pink grapefruit lift, with a soft floral orange-blossom note sitting behind it. Take a sip and the fruit bursts up front, juicy and a touch bittersweet like marmalade, then the classic Tanqueray juniper kicks in and pulls everything dry and piney through the finish. It's fruity and bold without ever turning into a sugary orange soda. Smooth, balanced, properly moreish.

Where it's from

Tanqueray is English gin royalty, distilled in the four-botanical London Dry style that's barely changed since Charles Tanqueray's day. The Seville twist isn't a marketing invention either: Charles travelled through Spain back in the 1860s and was taken by the orange groves, and this bottle leans on that old recipe idea. They start with the classic Tanqueray London Dry, then build in bittersweet Seville orange essence and orange blossom. England, 41.3%, in a generous 1 litre bottle.

What is the price of Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla 1L?

Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla 1L is KSh 3,999 at Oaks & Corks. Order online for fast delivery across Nairobi, usually within the hour, or next day countrywide.

What does Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla 1L taste like?

Zesty Seville orange and a little orange blossom up front, fruity and bittersweet like marmalade, then Tanqueray's dry, piney juniper pulls it back so it finishes balanced rather than sweet.

What is the ABV of Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla?

It's 41.3% ABV, so it holds its own in a G&T or a Negroni without getting lost behind the mixer.

How do I serve it?

Plenty of ice in a copa or balloon glass, 50ml gin, top with chilled tonic and garnish with orange instead of lime. Negroni or spritz also work a treat.

What pairs with Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla?

Anything smoky or spicy. Nyama choma, peri-peri chicken, salty olives and cheese, or dark chocolate for dessert.

Where is it from?

It's made in England by Tanqueray, built on their classic London Dry gin and finished with bittersweet Seville oranges and orange blossom.

Is it sweet or flavoured gin?

It's an orange-forward gin, but it's not a sweet liqueur. The juniper keeps it dry, so think bright and citrusy rather than sugary.
