Tanqueray No. 10 750ml
Exceptional★★★★★
Pour this into a frosty martini glass and you'll get why bartenders treat it like the gold standard. It's bright, it's silky, and that hit of fresh grapefruit makes your whole mouth wake up. Crack it open on a slow Friday, build one cold martini, and suddenly the night feels a little more like an occasion. If gin usually tastes like a Christmas tree to you, No. TEN is the one that changes your mind.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First sniff and it's a basket of fresh citrus: white grapefruit up front, then lime and orange, with that classic piney juniper sitting underneath. There's a soft floral thing too, that's the chamomile, like a whisper of honey and dried flowers. On the tongue it's ridiculously smooth for something this strong. Zesty grapefruit and lemon roll in, juniper keeps it proper gin, and a little coriander and white pepper add a gentle kick on the way out. Clean, bright, and seriously moreish.

Where it's from

This one's English gin royalty with a fun little secret. It's named after a tiny copper pot still nicknamed 'Tiny Ten', a small experimental still that the Tanqueray team used to distill whole fresh citrus into a 'citrus heart' before blending it with the classic botanicals. That fresh-fruit step, instead of dried peels, is exactly why it tastes so juicy and alive. Tanqueray itself goes back to Charles Tanqueray in 1830s London, but No. TEN is the modern one, launched in 2000 and built specifically to be the best martini gin around.
