Brewed in Nairobi by Kenya Breweries (part of EABL) since way back in 1922, from ingredients grown right here: barley off the savannah and the Maasai Mara, spring water from the Aberdare ranges, yeast developed locally. The name is the proper legend bit. Co-founder George Hurst was killed by an elephant on a hunting trip, and his brother Charles named that first beer Tusker in his memory, after the big bull elephants. The elephant on the label has been there ever since.
