The nose is jammy blackberry, the kind you'd nick straight off the bush, with piney juniper and a little citrus lift behind it. This one's properly personal. Founder Johnny Neill, an eighth-generation distiller whose family's been making spirits since 1762, built it around childhood memories of picking blackberries in the lanes around his grandparents' farm. It's handcrafted in England from 100% grain spirit, steeped with botanicals and distilled in an antique copper pot still nicknamed Constance, which is over a hundred years old. Whitley Neill is now made at the City of London Distillery. Old-school craft, very modern flavour.
