Ch. St. Michelle Sauv Blanc 75cl
Pour this cold and the first sip basically wakes your mouth up. Think melon and zesty citrus with a green, grassy snap, then a clean dry finish that leaves you reaching straight back for the glass. It's the white you want when the evening's warm, the company's good, and you don't want to overthink it. We'll have it at your door fast, ice optional.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Nose first: fresh melon, lemon and lime, and that telltale Sauvignon Blanc grassy, herby lift (some call it green olive or just-cut garden). On the palate it's bone dry with bright, mouth-watering acidity, a quick flash of kiwi and nectarine, then a snappy, clean finish. No sweetness, no heavy oak, no fuss. Just zippy, refreshing and properly drinkable.

Where it's from

This comes from Washington State, USA, out of the Columbia Valley, with fruit from spots like the sun-soaked Horse Heaven Vineyard above the Columbia River. Chateau Ste. Michelle is Washington's oldest winery and pretty much the name that put the state on the wine map. They ferment almost all of this in stainless steel (95%, with just a touch of neutral oak) on purpose, to keep the fruit pure, fresh and zippy rather than buttery. Smart desert climate, cool nights, and you get this lively dry white.
