This is Kenyan Originals, the Nairobi craft crew started by Alexandra Chappatte back in 2016 out of a single shipping container. She'd left a big global drinks job to make booze from actual Kenyan fruit, taking a cue from muratina, the traditional fruit brew. Everything happens in-house in Nairobi, from crushing the fruit to filling the bottle. This one leans on apple mangoes from Makueni and fiery little bird's-eye chillies from Kilifi, hand-crushed and infused. No additives, no preservatives, just fruit and fire.
