Where it's from
Loacker started back in 1925 when Alfons Loacker opened a tiny patisserie in Bolzano and baked his first packaged wafers. The family later moved production up into the mountains, reckoning the best wafers come from where the air is clean and the water's crystal clear. Today they bake more than 1,000 metres up in the Alps. The Quadratini (Italian for little squares) cube landed in 1994 and quickly became the one everyone fights over in the box.
