The Médoc is the strip of land on the left bank of the Gironde, north of Bordeaux city, and it's classic Cabernet Sauvignon country. The name on the label belongs to Louis Eschenauer, who left Alsace for Bordeaux back in 1821 and built one of the region's best-known wine houses. Over the years they've bottled wine from some seriously famous Médoc and Graves châteaux, so they know this corner of France inside out.
