You want bubbles that actually taste of something but won't put you to sleep. This is it. Dry, zippy, alive with green apple and a flick of citrus, with a tiny almond note hiding at the back that makes you go back for the next sip. Crack it for a Friday on the balcony, a birthday toast, or just because it's Tuesday and you've earned it. We'll have it cold at your door before the playlist warms up.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Pale gold with a steady stream of fine little bubbles, not the big aggressive ones. The nose is fresh: green apple, lemon-lime, a soft floral lift like a flower market in the morning. On the palate it's properly dry (that's what Brut means, barely any sugar) with bright, mouth-watering acidity and just enough ripe orchard fruit to keep it friendly. It finishes clean and crisp with that signature whisper of almond. Light on its feet, never heavy.

Where it's from

Martini comes from Turin in northern Italy, the same house that's been making vermouth and sparklers since 1863. This Brut is built around Glera, the same grape behind Prosecco, grown in the foothills of northern Italy. It's made in the tank (Charmat) method, which traps the fizz quickly and keeps all that fresh apple-and-citrus fruit intact instead of going toasty and serious. The result is a sparkling wine that feels easy and a little bit elegant at the same time.

Good to know

What is the price of Martini Brut 75Cl?

Martini Brut 75Cl is KSh 2,629 at Oaks & Corks. Order online for delivery in 30 minutes for most areas in Nairobi, or next day countrywide.

What does Martini Brut 75cl taste like?

Dry and lively. Think green apple, lemon-lime and a soft floral note, fine persistent bubbles, and a clean crisp finish with a hint of almond. Not sweet.

What is the ABV of Martini Brut?

It's 11.5% ABV, so a touch lighter than most still wines. Easy sipping, but still pace yourself.

Is Martini Brut sweet or dry?

Dry. Brut is one of the driest styles of sparkling wine, with barely any sugar, balanced by bright acidity.

How do I serve Martini Brut?

Chill it to about 6 to 8°C and pour into a flute or wine glass. On a hot day a couple of ice cubes is totally fair game, and it makes a great spritz base.

What food pairs with Martini Brut?

Salty snacks, smoked salmon, prawns, margherita pizza, light nyama choma. Anything fresh and savoury loves that crisp acidity.

Is Martini Brut the same as Prosecco?

Close cousins. It's made mainly from Glera, the Prosecco grape, in the same tank method, so you get that same fresh, dry, fruity sparkle.
