Prince Laurent Brut Champagne 75cl
Exceptional★★★★★
Pop this and the whole room knows something good is happening. Prince Laurent Brut is real-deal French Champagne, made the proper way, so you get that fine ribbon of bubbles and a dry, lively snap that makes everything taste better. It's the bottle for the promotion, the reunion, the random Friday that earned itself. Crisp, classy, no occasion required.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First sniff is bright and fresh: lemon and green apple, a little white peach and pear, then a soft warm note underneath like fresh brioche straight from the oven. On the tongue the bubbles are fine and tingly, not aggressive, carrying citrus and orchard fruit across your palate. It finishes dry and clean, the Brut style doing its job so it's elegant rather than sweet. Lovely cold, genuinely refreshing, a touch of toasty depth keeping it grown-up.

Where it's from

This comes from Champagne Baron-Fuenté, a family house down in Charly-sur-Marne in the Marne Valley, the only region on earth allowed to call its sparkling wine Champagne. The family story starts with Gabriel Baron and Dolores Fuente, who came over from Andalusia in Spain, and the next generation still runs it today. Prince Laurent is their Brut cuvee, made the traditional method way, with that slow second fermentation in the bottle that gives proper Champagne its fine, persistent fizz. Not a knock-off bubbly. The actual thing.
