Whytehall Honey 1L
Picture a whisky that stopped trying so hard. Whytehall Honey is golden, soft and sweet, the kind of pour you sip slow on a Friday when you want the warmth of whisky without the bite. Honey does the heavy lifting up front, the whisky hums underneath, and there's a tiny flick of spice on the way out. Crack it open, drop in some ice, and let your shoulders come down.
First thing you notice is the honey. Real, mellow, golden-syrup sweetness on the nose, with a little vanilla and oak hiding behind it. On the tongue it's smooth and rounded, more dessert than dare, with the grain whisky giving it a gentle backbone so it never turns sticky. The finish is warm and short, a soft whisky glow with the faintest tickle of spice. Easy company, not a fight.
The details
Pairs well with
Where it's from
This one's made in India by Radico Khaitan, one of the country's biggest spirit houses, with roots in the old Rampur distillery up north. The Whytehall name actually came over from Bacardi back in 2004, and Radico has been building it out ever since into a whole family of whiskies. Honey is the sweet-toothed cousin of the lineup: premium malt and grain whiskies blended, then infused with the warmth of honey.
