Asconi Peach 75cl
Imagine biting into a perfectly ripe peach, except it's chilled, it's in a glass, and it has a gentle 16% kick behind it. That's Asconi Peach. It's soft, sweet and juicy, the kind of bottle you crack open when you want something fun and fruity that doesn't ask you to think too hard. Pour it cold on a slow Nairobi evening and it just goes down easy. We'll have it at your door fast, any hour.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

The nose is pure ripe peach, that sun-warmed, slightly jammy smell you get from fruit at its peak. On the palate it's rich but rounded, never cloying. Think juicy peach flesh, a velvety smooth texture, and a sweetness that lingers softly on the finish without going syrupy. It's full and fruity with enough body to feel like a proper treat rather than a sugary fizz. Easy to fall for, hard to put down.

Where it's from

This one comes from Asconi Winery, a family-run outfit in Moldova set up back in 1994. They sit in the gentle Codru hills around Puhoi village, southern Moldova, with hundreds of hectares of vineyards. Moldova is one of the oldest wine-making corners of the world, and Asconi blends that long tradition with modern kit. Alongside their serious reds and whites they make these fun fruit-forward bottles, and the peach is one of the most loveable of the lot.

What is the price of Asconi Peach 75cl?

What does Asconi Peach 75cl taste like?

Sweet, smooth and seriously peachy. You get ripe sun-kissed peach on the nose, then juicy fruit and a velvety texture on the palate with a gentle lingering sweetness. Fruity and rounded, never harsh.

What is the ABV of Asconi Peach?

It's 16%, which is on the higher side for a fruity white. So it's sweet and easy-sipping, but it carries a bit more of a kick than your average wine.

How should I serve Asconi Peach?

Well chilled, around 6 to 8°C. Pour it neat from a cold fridge, or over ice on a warm night. A white wine glass brings out the peach aroma.

Lean into desserts: fruit tarts, ice cream, creamy puddings and soft cheeses. The sweetness also tames spice, so it's great with peppery grilled chicken or wings.

Moldova. It's made by Asconi Winery, a family business founded in 1994, based in the Codru wine region near Puhoi village.
