Exceptional★★★★★
This is the bottle that turns a decent drink into a proper one. Crystal clear, all bright orange and warm spice, smooth enough to sip cold yet built to be the secret weapon behind a Margarita or a Cosmo. Pour it, and suddenly you're the friend who actually knows how to make cocktails. Two of these and your next night in stops being a maybe.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Crack the cap and you get a wave of fresh orange zest, like someone peeled a whole bowl of them next to you, with a faint honey sweetness underneath. The first sip is pure bright citrus, orange and a squeeze of lemon, then a gentle warmth rolls in: think nutmeg and a whisper of cinnamon. It's sweet but never sticky, because real bitter-orange peel keeps it balanced and clean. Finishes dry and zesty, the kind of orange that makes you want another go.

Where it's from

This comes from Angers, in the west of France, where the Cointreau family has been at it since the 1800s. Edouard Cointreau cracked the recipe and first sold it in 1875, and it's stayed gloriously simple ever since: just four things, water, sugar, alcohol and orange peel. The clever bit is the peel itself, a blend of sweet oranges from Spain and bitter ones from the Caribbean, distilled together. That's why it tastes like more than just sugar and orange.
