This is Germany through and through, made in the little town of Wolfenbuttel where Curt Mast perfected the secret recipe and first sold it in 1935. The name means master hunter, and that glowing stag with a cross between its antlers nods to the patron saint of hunters. The recipe of 56 botanicals (herbs, roots, fruits, blossoms and spices from around the world) hasn't changed since. They're macerated for days, then the blend rests in oak for about a year before it's bottled. Old-school craft, party-ready result.
