Grande Absente

Grand Absente is exclusively made with only the finest and highest quality spirits and hand-picked botanicals, including the artmisia absinthium. Its appearance is clear with a shiny light green colour combined with yellow undertones. The aroma has characteristics of camphor and menthol, blended with anise and spices. This results from the infusion of spices, mint, and lemon balm, cane, sugar and water from which it is produced. The taste is of absinth. The flavour has a spicy, bitter taste which is as a result of the mugwort, star anise, aniseed alcohol, balm and mints which lend the drink this special bitter flavour profile that is widely appreciated all over the world.

Grande Absente was founded in 1898 and has since then been hand-crafted in the Provence region of France by <a href="https://www.distilleries-provence.com/en/">Les Distilleries et Domaines de Provence</a>. The distillers have been known for making aperitifs and liqueurs for over a century. They are equally famed for their ability to maintain the thousand year tradition of harvesting herbs for their active ingredients and aromas, preserving them through their products.
