John B Cinsaut Rosé 75cl
Pour this and you get a glass of pale pink with strawberries written all over it. It's juicy, gently sweet, and so easy to keep sipping you'll want a second bottle in the fridge. This is your no-overthinking, no-rules wine. The kind you crack open on a warm Nairobi evening, hand a glass to whoever's around, and let the night sort itself out. Want it cold and at your door in a hurry? That's our whole thing.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Stick your nose in and it's a punnet of fresh strawberries with a soft floral lift behind it. On the palate it's all red summer berries, fruit-forward and gently sweet, with just enough zip of acidity to keep it lively rather than syrupy. It finishes clean and lingers, so it never feels heavy. Think bright and fruity, more refreshing than rich.

Where it's from

This comes from Rietvallei Wine Estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, one of South Africa's oldest family-owned wineries, run by the Burger family since 1864 and now in the hands of the sixth generation. The Cinsaut grapes grow on lime-rich, calcareous soils and get machine-harvested at night to keep them cool and fresh, then cold-fermented in stainless steel to lock in all that berry fruit. The John B range is their easygoing, everyday line, named in the family's long storytelling tradition. Less ceremony, more good times.
