Blue Swift was their bold idea: take real Martell VSOP eaux-de-vie, aged at least four years in French oak, then finish it in Kentucky bourbon barrels. It was the first cognac-based spirit to pull that move. Funny side note: because it sleeps in bourbon casks, French rules won't let them legally call it 'cognac' anymore, so it's a 'spirit drink'.
