You want pink, you want sweet, you want a bottle you can actually finish without the room tilting. This is it. Robertson's Sweet Rosé is deep coral and loaded with sweet berry flavour, and at 7.5% it sits low enough that a second glass doesn't end the night. Chill it properly, pour it for the people who say they 'don't really drink wine', and watch the bottle vanish.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

Pop it open and it smells like strawberry and a little floral sweetness, fresh and fruity rather than heavy. The first sip is properly sweet, think ripe red berries and a soft candy-pink fruitiness, with just enough freshness underneath to stop it feeling sticky. It's light, juicy and round, the kind of glass that goes down without thinking. No oak, no tannin grip, nothing serious. Just sweet, cold and friendly.

Where it's from

This comes out of Robertson Winery, deep in South Africa's Robertson Valley along the Breede River in the Western Cape. It's warm, sun-soaked country with lime-rich soils, which is part of why the fruit here ripens so sweet. The clever bit is in the making: they pick the grapes early to keep the alcohol low, then stop the fermentation before the wine goes dry so the natural sweetness stays in the glass. They call it the original South African natural sweet range, and they've leaned into it. Three white grapes do the work here, Ruby Cabernet for the berry fruit, Chenin Blanc and Colombard for the fresh, floral lift.
