V&A 750ml
Exceptional★★★★★
Think of V&A as the bottle you bring out when the plates are cleared and nobody's in a rush to leave. It's a sweet, full-bodied Kenyan fine liqueur with a deep fruity richness, the kind of pour you sip slow over ice while the conversation winds down. Smooth, a little indulgent, and only 20%, so it sips like a treat rather than a punch. Perfect for a celebration, or just a Friday that earned it.
Tasting note · by The Oaks Cellar

First sniff is all ripe fruit and a warm, sherry-like sweetness, almost like dried fruit and a touch of honey. On the tongue it's lush and full, rounded and a bit syrupy in the best way, with that juicy fruit carrying right through. The sweetness never goes cloying though, because the finish tidies itself up clean and bright. It's rich without being heavy, which is exactly why you keep going back for another sip.

Where it's from

V&A is proudly Kenyan, an "Imperial" fine liqueur that borrows its name and a bit of swagger from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. It has an East African story too: the brand found its feet in Uganda in the mid-90s before landing in Kenya in 2005, and it's been a regular at special occasions ever since. Local roots, a touch of royal theatre, and a flavour that doesn't take itself too seriously.

What does V&A 750ml taste like?

Sweet, fruity and full-bodied with a smooth, almost sherry-like richness and a clean finish. It's rich and indulgent but easy to sip, especially cold.

It's 20% alcohol by volume, so it's gentler than a spirit like whisky or vodka and meant for slow sipping.

Neat or over ice in a small tumbler, ideally chilled. It's a great after-dinner pour, and also good over ice cream or stirred into coffee.

What pairs with V&A?

Sweet things love it: dark chocolate, cake, ice cream and ripe fruit. Salty roasted nuts or a creamy cheese board work nicely for contrast.

Where is V&A from?

It's a Kenyan-made fine liqueur. The brand launched in Uganda in the mid-90s and came to Kenya in 2005.

Is V&A a cream liqueur?

This one is the fruity, sherry-style V&A fine liqueur rather than the separate Imperial Cream version, so expect ripe fruit and smooth sweetness rather than a milky, vanilla-cream texture.
