Take a sip and it's all date and raisin up front, like walnut loaf fresh from the oven, with allspice and toasted wood filling in behind. It finishes malty and toasty with a gentle pepper tingle. Bold and fruity, but smooth and creamy with it, so nothing bites. There's good malt weight here for a blend, which is what makes it feel fuller than the price suggests.
