This one's pure New Orleans. Back in 1874 a bartender named Martin Wilkes Heron got tired of rough local whiskey, so he softened it with fruit and spice and called the result Cuffs & Buttons before settling on Southern Comfort. He later patented it and bottled it with the cocky slogan None Genuine But Mine. More than a century on it's still made in the USA on that same idea: American whiskey, peach and spice, blended sweet and smooth.
