Glenmorangie is made up in the Highlands at Tain, on the shores of the Dornoch Firth in northern Scotland. The trick to that light, fruity character is the stills: at around 26 feet they're the tallest in Scotland, so only the most delicate vapours climb high enough to make the cut. The spirit then spends ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, which is where the honey and vanilla come from. The crew who run it call themselves the Sixteen Men of Tain.
