Glenfiddich comes from Dufftown in Speyside, the green heart of Scotch country. The name means "valley of the deer" in Gaelic, which is why a stag sits on every bottle. It's still run by the same family that built the distillery back in 1886, William Grant & Sons, and they've never sold out to a big drinks conglomerate. The 12 is their flagship: 12 years in American bourbon oak and Spanish sherry casks, married together for that signature smooth, fruity character.
