Where it's from
Glenfiddich comes from Dufftown in Speyside, the whisky heartland of Scotland, where William Grant and his family literally built the distillery by hand and ran the first spirit through the stills on Christmas Day 1887. The name is Gaelic for Valley of the Deer, which is why there's a stag on the bottle. It's still family-owned today, and it's one of the few distilleries that married its whisky in those big oak marrying tuns to keep every batch tasting just right.
