Keringet Reg 10L
★★★★★ 5.0 (1 review)Sometimes you just need good water, and a lot of it. This is the big 10L of Keringet, the soft, clean still water that's been quietly winning over Kenyan fridges for decades. Pour it cold and it tastes of nothing in the best way: no harsh chalky edge, no plasticky aftertaste, just smooth and round. Park one on the counter for the house, the office cooler, or a long night of nyama choma and cold beers when everyone needs a chaser of actual water. We'll have it at your door fast, any hour.
Soft and rounded, the kind of still water that goes down without you thinking about it. There's a faint, clean minerality from the calcium and magnesium it picks up underground, but nothing sharp or salty. The pH sits just under neutral, so it drinks gentle, never tinny or bitter. Properly cold, it's about as easy as water gets.
The details
Pairs well with
Where it's from
Keringet comes from Molo, up in the highlands around 8,000 feet above sea level on the edge of the Mau Forest. The water seeps down through deep layers of chalk, sand, gravel and hard volcanic rock left behind by the seismic forces that tore open the Great Rift Valley, which is what gives it that soft, balanced mineral character before it's ever bottled. It first hit the Kenyan market back in 1992 and is now part of the Coca-Cola family here. The bottle's a recyclable one made with less plastic, too.
