Chivas Regal 25 Year 700ml

The Chivas Regal 25 Years is a luxury blended whisky from Scotland. It was first introduced in 1909. It became the pride of high-class society in New York. However, in 1920 probation come along turning the party down. Fortunately, Chivas 25 regained its legendary position as the pinnacle of blended scotch whisky in 2007 as it rejoined the market. More than 10 years later, the 25-year-old whisky remains a legend due to its iconic, unique, and complex textures. The whisky is blended in a meticulous way to ignite calm textures and delicate intensities.  

From its distillation, one can tell that the Chivas 25 is aimed to represent luxury. Each cask used is hand-selected and autonomously nosed to give a satisfying rich final blend. On the nose, the whisky hits you with fruity aromas that provide notes of orange, peach, nuts, and marzipan. Its palate is a combination rich in hints of chocolate, cream, and orange. Chivas positions Chivas Regal 25 as a flagship luxury expression and a historic icon within the house, but in the sources reviewed, I did not find a clearly attributable major competition award page specifically for this expression that I could cite with confidence. What is well supported is its standing as the world’s first luxury whisky and its importance in Chivas history.

It is also endorsed through the words of Chivas Master Blender Sandy Hyslop, who highlights its painstaking batch-by-batch construction and connection to the original early-1900s formula.
