This South African red comes from Diemersdal Wine Estate in Durbanville, a historic estate with roots going back to the late 1600s and with documented winemaking activity on the property dating to 1705. The estate has been in the hands of the Louw family since 1885, and today it remains one of the Cape’s best-known producers of cool-climate wines

Tasting Notes

Nose: Red fruits, vanilla, exotic spice and dark chocolate.

Palate: Full flavoured and smooth, with spice, chocolate and roasted banana character.

Finish: Soft, rounded and lingering, with ripe fruit and gentle savoury warmth. This last point is an inference from the producer’s and trade descriptions of the wine’s texture and flavour profile.
