This comes from Chile's Central Valley, made by Fox Wines. Carménère is Chile's signature grape, a Bordeaux variety that nearly went extinct in France and quietly found a second life across the Andes, where it now makes some of the best reds in the country. Quereu itself is named after a little Chilean bird that nests in the vineyards. Local lore says the quereu showing up was the old sign that harvest was near. Nice touch for something so easy to drink.
